Galactus threatens to devour San Diego?

Galactus has arrived in San Diego for Comic-Con 2026, and the giant devourer of planets appears to be hungry!

The cosmic menace came striding through the city past Petco Park, bewildering curious bystanders. Was he here to sate his enormous appetite?

No!

Galactus had traveled from deep space to Earth to delight Comic-Con’s many Marvel fans!

Check out this big human-driven puppet! I tried to get the creator’s name, without success.

Portent of coming Doomsday in San Diego’s Gaslamp!

Yes, Doomsday is fated for San Diego. A portent of Doomsday is arising in the Gaslamp Quarter!

The historical Gaslamp Quarter sign is undergoing a sinister transformation. Doctor Doom seems to have recruited workers to prepare for his arrival. Some say the mighty throne of God Emperor Doom will be placed here in the center of Fifth Avenue.

Or perhaps this is a dimensional portal through which he’ll arrive to conquer Earth during Comic-Con 2026!

Wolverine slashes the San Diego Trolley!

Wolverine has slashed several cars of the San Diego Trolley!

Wolverine’s adamantium claws have really done some damage, it appears, and they’re giant sized, too! (I wonder if he utilized some of Ant-Man’s size altering Pym Particles?)

No, these are just new trolley wraps for Comic-Con 2026, promoting a new video game called Marvel’s Wolverine for the PlayStation 5.

Avengers: Doomsday comes to San Diego!

Doomsday has come to San Diego!

Street lamp banners have begun to appear around downtown San Diego promoting Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster movie Avengers: Doomsday. Comic-Con is a little over a month away!

You know the hype will be out of this world for a movie that fans are already excited about. Will Doctor Doom triumph over the multiverse’s mightiest heroes?

Will San Diego be the epicenter of world-shattering superhero action? It sure looks that way!

Captain America arrives in San Diego!

Captain America has arrived in San Diego. He was spotted in Bankers Hill this morning with his awesome Capmobile!

The Marvel superhero and Avenger would participate in St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival 2026!

This was too cool not to share right away. I’ll be posting photos of the parade coming up once I sort through them all.

I learned this gentleman who was engaged in Captain America cosplay is part of the Science Fiction Coalition. I’d never seen his car before because, he told me, it was wrapped with these cool graphics just recently.

Cosplay everywhere outside Comic-Con!

It’s Thursday evening. Comic-Con 2025 has barely begun. Even so, cosplay is now appearing all over downtown San Diego– particularly in the Gaslamp Quarter and outside the San Diego Convention Center!

Most of these cosplay photos were taken today as I walked all around. A few were taken on Wednesday, the day of Preview Night.

Marvel’s Savage Land cosplay at Comic-Con!

A cool cosplay photoshoot was held this evening at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. Marvel comic book characters who’ve appeared in the Savage Land posed in front of the Marriott Marquis San Diego’s outdoor fountain!

Which cosplays can you recognize?

I see a cyberpunk Black Widow, Wolverine, Squirrel Girl, Storm, Wild Child, Professor X, Sabretooth, Wiccan, Gambit, Rogue and another Wolverine!

The photoshoot was titled Resistance in the Savage Lands.

Perhaps the hidden Savage Land was suddenly transported from Antarctica to sunny San Diego. If that’s the case, be on the lookout for dinosaurs!
