Early this morning I saw on the news that many parts of San Diego were experiencing fog. So I thought it would be interesting to head to Old Town San Diego State Historic Park for some mysterious fog photos.
Well, one end of nearby Lindbergh Field was lost in a bank of fog–but not Old Town!
I got some wonderful morning photos anyway. It was quiet, just after sunrise, nothing open, very few people around…

I live in downtown San Diego and love to walk around with my camera! You can follow Cool San Diego Sights via Facebook or Twitter!

Your photos of early morning Old Town makes me miss it! I live in Illinois but visited San Diego a few weeks ago. Didn’t have time to get to Old Town this time. Thanks for bringing up great memories of past visits!

I also look forward to the day you do capture fog on one of your outings. I am gaining new awareness of fog, and it makes me interested in how the phenomenon plays out, up and down this Pacific coast.

It’s really interesting downtown, how a dense fog will swallow up skyscrapers, like they are nothing.

and then, just as capriciously, give them back…

Rare to see so few people in Old Town! Every time I have been there, it’s been packed, Richard. Fun photos. –Curt
