Late this morning I walked down to the Embarcadero to enjoy the 2017 San Diego Veterans Day Parade. And I got dozens of photos!

An enthusiastic crowd lining Harbor Drive watched one of the largest Veterans Day parades in the United States. San Diego is home to a large number of active and retired military. And those who have served are honored.

Thank you for defending our freedom!

  1. A terrific collection, Richard. A great display by one of our top military cities!! It sure has been a long time since I’ve seen one those little cars that could go in the water too!! I was a bit disappointed in the amount of spectators though.

      1. There were many Veterans Day events all around the city. A special event was held at Liberty Station (the old Naval Training Center) with ten high school marching bands and the Wounded Warriors, and a special event up at the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial, plus other events all over the place.
