Late this morning I walked down to the Embarcadero to enjoy the 2017 San Diego Veterans Day Parade. And I got dozens of photos!
An enthusiastic crowd lining Harbor Drive watched one of the largest Veterans Day parades in the United States. San Diego is home to a large number of active and retired military. And those who have served are honored.
Thank you for defending our freedom!

A terrific collection, Richard. A great display by one of our top military cities!! It sure has been a long time since I’ve seen one those little cars that could go in the water too!! I was a bit disappointed in the amount of spectators though.

I was standing at the start of the parade. Lots of people were all along the parade route–you just don’t see them in my photos.

There were many Veterans Day events all around the city. A special event was held at Liberty Station (the old Naval Training Center) with ten high school marching bands and the Wounded Warriors, and a special event up at the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial, plus other events all over the place.
