Here are some photos of The Tick Takeover being built today for 2017 San Diego Comic-Con. I realize it might be difficult for a good-natured but rather dimwitted superhero to take over an entire city, but it seems The Tick will at least watch over a stretch of Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade, near the corner of Harbor Drive and First Avenue!

The second section, I learned, is where the 20 foot animatronic Tick will be located. That blue thing is part of his huge empty head.

  2. I hear there will be a 3-night TV live showing of Comi-Con this weekend. I wonder if anyone contacted Chuck Lorre and the ‘Big Bang’ nerds? Heard anything.

    1. I believe there’s a Big Bang Theory panel in Hall H on Friday morning. Hall H is where the big panels are, so looks like Sheldon, Leonard, Penny and pals might be here in San Diego! (Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon trained as an actor in San Diego.)

      1. Then, odds are – he’ll be there!! I noticed Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes was represented – not my favorite though. I will always feel the Dark Tower series is the best thing he ever did!!

      1. Whoa!! That sure isn’t a little geek hangout anymore!! It seems like half the world will be in San Diego this weekend and there’s a program for everyone of them!!
