I walked around the back side of my local Trader Joe’s the other week and noticed my favorite TJ employee’s face painted on one of the walls. Very cool. I love seeing random artwork on walks. Thanks for sharing the above shots. I always love seeing the Andre painting. Now I want to find that monkey!!

If I recall, that monkey billboard is somewhere around 8th or 9th Avenue south of Broadway…somewhere around there!

Does anyone know what the grinning monkey billboard is all about? I want a shirt with that on it!

I haven’t figured it out. I believe I’ve seen a couple of those billboards.

I saw three different grinning monkey head billboards yesterday in the vicinity of the Gaslamp Quarter. I looked at them closely and there’s no indication of what it’s about. All I could see was a small copyright symbol next to the image.

The monkey looks like Curious George of the children’s storybook fame.
